The Attack Surface Report is a feature available as part of the Security Posture Rating overtime Report.

The purpose of this report is to display the risk changes that occurred on assets and affected the SPR over a defined period of time.

Accessing the Attack Surface report

There are two ways to access the Attack Surface report.

Examine and compare the SPR changes between two specific points in time

  1. Go to Analytics > Security Posture Rating Report.

  2. Scroll down to the Security Posture Rating over time widget.

  3. Right-click an SPR data point > Drill through > Attack Surface Report.

This option lets you compare the SPR changes between the selected point in time and 1 point earlier.
For example, if your Period filter is set to 90 days, and you right-click the June 2022 point in time (77.5% SPR), and drill through the Attack Surface Report, the report table displays a comparison between June 2022 (77.5% SPR) and May 2022 (41.3% SPR), which is one point in time earlier.

Examine and compare the SPR changes over a defined period of time of 7, 14, and 30 days.

  1. Go to Analytics > Security Posture Rating Report.

  2. Scroll down to the Security Posture Rating over time widget.

  3. Click the "View risk changes" button on the left to access the Attack Surface Report.

  4. Modify the Period filter on the right to display the SPR changes over the last 7, 14, or 30 days.

Review the changes in the tables that occurred on assets that affected the SPR over the defined period.
