Managing Exception Requests

Manage Exception Requests through the Exceptions page. This is where you get to review all the triggered exception request flows, their statuses, and their details. You can also select to show only requests "Assigned to me" and "Created by me".

Simply click on an exception request to edit, delete, or add comments.

You can attach files to justify or enrich the request:

  • Maximum Size of a Single File: 200MB

  • Maximum Total File Size: 100GB

  • Number of Files per Request: Unlimited (subject to the total file size limit)

    1. Supported File Types: csv, doc, docx, pdf, txt, json, eml, jpg, jpeg, png, gif, xls, xlsx

Exception Request Activity Log

The activity log lists all actions related to a specific exception request. Each entry in the log includes the following details:

  • Username or System Name: Indicates whether a user or the system performed the action.

  • Timestamp: Shows when the action was performed.

  • Description: Provides a brief explanation of the action taken.

Example Log Entries

The provided screenshot shows an activity log for an exception request titled "Extension for Development."

Here are the types of activities recorded:

  1. User Action:

    • Approval by User

  2. System Actions:

    • Email Notifications

    • Request Edited

    • Approval Required

    • New Approval Required

Actions Done by User

  • Approval: Users can approve an exception request, as seen with the user "Frederic" approving the request.

  • Editing Requests: Users can edit exception requests, which is logged under their username.

Actions Done by System

  • Sending Notifications: The system automatically sends email notifications when certain actions are performed, such as completing an approval or requiring new approval.

  • Logging Edits: When an exception request is edited, the system logs the changes and notifies relevant parties.

  • Automatic Approvals: The system can approve requests automatically if certain conditions are met (not shown in this screenshot but possible based on typical platform capabilities).
