Learn how to export Vulnerabilities and Assets.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Export Capabilities

  • You can trigger the export request and exit the system. You will receive an email notification once the file is ready to download.

  • You can trigger several export requests at the same time. For example, one for Vulnerabilities and one for Assets, or for several Business groups one after the other.

  • The download request can be retried in case of network failure or interruption.

Export Assets and Vulnerabilities

To export, go to the Vulnerabilities or Assets page, filter the results to narrow them down, and click Export.

  • Select columns to include in the export of vulnerabilities/assets.

  • Control the order of the columns in the exported file.

  • Export configurations are saved per user and remain consistent across sessions and tabs.

Export Campaign Vulnerability Instances

Export all findings (instances) associated with a specific campaign into a CSV file, including a comprehensive set of columns mirroring those available for tickets. This helps with effectively tracking and monitoring a campaign's vulnerability status.

Note: Archived findings (instances) are excluded from the report.

Once the file is ready, a dedicated system notification appears with a link to download the CSV file and an email is sent to the user who initiated the export.

What columns/info does the file include?

Vulnerability Name, Asset Name, Status, Risk, Sources (Connectors), Risk Score, First Seen, Last Seen, Threats (Threta Tags), CVEs, Vulnerability Description, Vulnerability Instance Details, Scanner Resolution, Tags, Business Groups, Owners (Dynamic Properties), Inclusion Date, OS, OS Version, IP, Cloud Instance ID.

Expected behavior

When you click the "Export" button, you will see a message that confirms we got your request and are processing it. At this point, you can continue your work inside or outside the Vulcan Cyber ExposureOS platform. We will notify you by email once the export file is ready (also through a notification inside the Vulcan Cyber ExposureOS platform if you are still logged in).

What if I don't see the file in the Notifications Center?

Refresh the page and check again.

FAQ

Is it secure?

The new export mechanism has been designed with security considerations in mind.
The export file is placed in a secure location and available only for 24 hours. After 24 hours, the file expires. The file becomes completely inaccessible (permanently deleted) after 24-48 hours.

Who can access and use the link to the export file?

Only the requesting user can use the link. To use the export link, you must authenticate through the Vulcan Cyber ExposureOS platform.

Can I see other user's notifications?

In the notification center, all users can see all "export file-ready" notifications issued by other users and the requester's name. However, the files can be accessed and opened only by the requester.
