A Comprehensive Overview of UI Enhancements

We are excited to introduce several new UI enhancements and updates to the Vulcan Cyber ExposureOS that will enhance your user experience, streamline workflows, and improve overall navigation. Here’s an overview of what’s changed.

New Sign-In Page

The first change you’ll notice is our completely redesigned sign-in page, featuring our new logo and a sleek, modern look. This change sets the tone for the rest of the platform’s updated interface.

Updated Colors and Theme

The entire platform now sports a fresh color theme, designed to enhance focus and improve user experience:

  • The primary color palette is gray, which helps you concentrate on the content without distractions.

  • Blue is the new CTA (Call to Action) color, offering improved visibility and accessibility.

Please note that the new blue CTA is gradually being rolled out. As a result, some older CTA screens will still display the green color, while newer ones will feature the updated blue color.

  • Success and failure states are indicated with green and red, respectively, making it easier to interpret status at a glance.

Expandable Left Navigation

The new expandable left navigation panel allows you to collapse the menu for more workspace, giving you more screen real estate to focus on your main content.

New Left Navigation with Workflow-Based Page Grouping

The new left navigation panel has been reorganized and redesigned to align with your workflow, making navigation more intuitive and your overall experience smoother.

Home Page

At the top of the navigation panel, we’ve placed the Home page, which was previously labeled as 'Dashboard'.

Explore, Take Action, and Track

We’ve reorganized the rest of the platform's navigation by grouping pages according to your workflow, making it easier to find what you need and streamline your processes.

This new structure follows a logical flow: Explore -> Take Action -> Track, enhancing your orientation and overall experience.

Explore

This category includes all the pages that facilitate discovering and exploring vulnerabilities and their associated assets within your organization. Key pages here are:

Take Action

After exploring the vulnerabilities and assets, the next step is to take action. In this category, you’ll find pages like:

Track

Finally, the Track category allows you to monitor the progress of your remediation campaigns and review Analytical Reports to gauge effectiveness and make informed decisions.

Connectors Page

At the bottom of the new navigation panel, you'll find the Integration category, dedicated to setting up and managing your Connectors.

Quick Access Buttons

The platform now includes quick access buttons for notifications, settings, help center, and user settings, all conveniently located at the bottom left of the new navigation menu for easy access.

Enhanced Notification Panel

Stay informed with our new notification panel that now appears on the bottom left of the new navigation menu. The notifications panel provides timely alerts and updates without disrupting your workflow.

Click See all to access all notifications.

Updated Settings Page

The Settings page has been restructured into three distinct categories:

This new organization is designed to make it easier for you to manage your platform configuration and business context effectively.

Organization

This section is where you can manage all aspects related to your business context.

Here, you can:

Settings

While the content within the Settings page remains the same, we’ve revamped its navigation. The new menu is organized according to user usage patterns, making it easier to find what you need.

The Settings category focuses on configuring your risk management and operational settings. This includes:

Help & Support

Click Help & Support to access the following quickly:

New Findings Page

We’ve added a Findings page that provides a quick overview of vulnerability instances. This allows for faster access and more efficient vulnerability management.

Organized Filters on the Vulnerabilities and Findings Pages

Filters on the Vulnerabilities page are now better organized, making it simpler to sort and manage vulnerabilities.

New Page Headers

A new header featuring breadcrumbs has been added to help you navigate and orient yourself more effectively within the platform.

New Asset Tags and Business Groups Management Workflow

The new asset tags and business group management provide more intuitive creation and editing workflows and ensure better control and visibility across assets, playbooks, and saved searches.

Important Note About Help Center Articles

While we are excited to introduce the new UI, please be aware that the Vulcan Cyber Help Center still contains articles and how-tos with visual aids—such as screenshots, GIFs, and videos—that reflect the previous UI look and feel.

The Help Center is being gradually updated to match the new design, and we appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure all resources are aligned with the latest platform updates.
